Join the Choir

If you live in or near to South Oxhey and a desire to sing you can join us. We meet every Tuesday in term time at Oxhey Wood Primary School in South Oxhey, between 7 and 8:30pm.

We are a Community Choir with a mix of ages and backgrounds and all are welcome. We need new members of any musical ability (or none). No previous singing experience is required and you don’t need to be able to read music.

We sing a wide range of songs from choral classics to popular music across the decades.

So, as long as you are ready to be in your seat ready to start singing by 7pm each Tuesday, you could be singing as part of lots of exciting opportunities in the future! Fancy it?

Your first rehearsal

If you wish to join as a choir member, we ask that you fill in this form (or pick one up from your first rehearsal). You can print it off and bring it with you or complete it when you register.

For your first rehearsal, please arrive at least 20 minutes early so we can process your application.

You are welcome to come along for a free two week trial, after that you will be required to pay a membership fee of £55 per term (£165 per year).

Performances

As a Choir, we do not perform with music scores and you will be required to learn all the songs for our performances off by heart. This means that you will need to make every effort to attend the majority of our rehearsals to be allowed to perform at our concerts. But don’t worry, you’ll be surprised how quickly you pick up the songs and our more experienced members will give you plenty of support and encouragement.
